Our publishing workflow

Topic and evidence research

We define the reader's question and search intent, then collect appropriate clinical guidelines, peer-reviewed literature, and authoritative public-health or regulatory sources.

Drafting and fact checks

A draft is written for clarity and practical usefulness. Technology may assist research organization, drafting, or formatting, but it is not presented as a medical author or reviewer.

Named medical review

Content carrying a 'medically reviewed' label must be approved by the named dermatologist before publication. The article records the review date and approved content version.

Publication and updates

We display publication and modification dates, maintain source links, and update or correct articles when evidence, clinical guidance, or material product information changes.

What our labels mean

Authored by
Identifies the person or editorial team responsible for writing and maintaining the article.
Medically reviewed by
Means the named dermatologist reviewed and approved that specific article version before publication.

Evidence and sources

  • Clinical and public-health guidance from recognized professional or government bodies
  • Peer-reviewed research and primary studies when they are appropriate to the question
  • Official regulatory, ingredient, or product-safety information
  • Clear links to material sources so readers can inspect the evidence

Corrections and updates

Material corrections are made as soon as reasonably possible. Meaningful clinical or editorial updates change the article's modification date and, when medical review is required, create a new approved version. Readers can report a concern at getyoursutra@dermasutra.in.

Scope and safety

Blog content is general education, not diagnosis, treatment, or personalized medical advice. Readers should consult a qualified healthcare professional for persistent, severe, rapidly changing, or urgent concerns.
